Better late then never! It seems as if the winter dragged on forever and once April hit the days are flying by! Welcome back to all our snowbirds!

New.....dollar mini dogs/ mini cheddarwurst and mini brats one dollar a piece or 6 for five dollars...anytime! Starting this Thursday at 5 p.m. we will start our new steak special every Thursday night. 9.95 for a bourbon steak or a blue cheese steak or a plain one. Come and check it out.

Just a normal week this week. Busy one as usual! Weather was quite nice this week warmer days and cool nights. The pool tournament was a huge success. Denny King from Ashland took first, Scott Clivette also from Ashland took second and two Barnes Boys took the rest. Gary Scharlau and PJ Foat rounded off the Money. We also had a Calcutta and Bob Stansky did quite well with that. We had 26 entrants which topped last year by 10. Way to go Amy Rice as she was the only woman entered.

Bowling is officially over. We had our banquet last Wednesday evening. Lynn's meats did the catering and it was scrumptious. We ended up 3 overall. We also took a few other prizes. I am glad to be done. Now on to golf, which starts this week.

Fishing opened this past weekend. It was a nice weekend weather-wise. The boats were out in force. The weekend seemed like the 4th of July. We were so darn busy Sat night that Elliott was answering the phones and filling out the guest checks, Scottie my hottie was the do all man. Thanks you two for helping out. We were short handed with prom being Sat night.

A big warm welcome to Angie and Kelsey Kinderman as they both started employment with us. Welcome aboard!

Good luck to Karna as she is having surgery on her knee. We will miss her.

Kudos to the Wisconsin Tavern League. In general, my opinions are that I do not favor smoking in general but there are ways to combat the situation in small business. I feel our rights in WI are little by little being dictated by the state or the "way out there" groups. What's next? If you are an WI establishment please join and support your WI Tavern League. Call me for an application or more information.
Elliott has be diligently practicing for the up and coming little league season. He is on the Cable team. He is looking forward to it! His coach is wonderful. I always admire someone who takes time out of their busy life to help our youth.

My condolences to the Hunter family as they had a memorial for Chad. He passed away last winter. There were many people to give their respect and pay tribute to a very well known person. Thanks for your confidence with the Wilderness Inn and I certainly appreciate your patronage.
