Just a normal week this week. Busy one as usual! Weather was
quite nice this week warmer days and cool nights. The ice is
officially off. Upper Eau Claire went off on Thursday.
Thursday and Friday saw tempratures in the 70s. I did manage
to hit some golf balls so it's a start! I hope the weather
gets better and better. The Atv trails are drying up. Soon
the trails should be open. I suggest you call the DNR before
riding to make sure they are open.
Bowling was good for me this week. I received my avwerage
all three games. We ended in second. Good job girls! We have
a fun week this week and next week is our banquet --now on
to golf.
Kudos to the Wisconsin Tavern League. In general, my
opinions are that I do not favor smoking in general but
there are ways to combat the situation in small business. I
feel our rights in WI are little by little being dictated by
the state or the "way out there" groups. What's next? If you
are an WI establishment please join and support your WI
Tavern League. Call me for an application or more
information.
Pool league was fun as usual. I did not win a single game
but had an enjoyable night! Our pool party is Thursday.
Everyone is welcome. We play tournaments of pool and
cribbage and bring a dish to pass.
Elliott will start little league this week. He is on the
Cable team. He is looking forward to it! His coach is
wonderful. I always admire someone who takes time out of
their busy life to help our youth.
My condolences to Jenneane and her family as her sister Jan
passed away! I sure am going to miss Jan as she was an
important part of our lives! My she rest in peace. May the
family hold on to her memories. As she will be missed and
never forgotten.
Angie Arseaneau continues to improve after her recent
surgery. Soon she will be kicking it up.
Angie (Lancour) Nelson is home after her complications with
child birth. When she arrived home there was flooding in
their basement from the power outages of the recent ice
storms. Her finished basement was ruined and no insurance.
The benefit for Tom and Angie was well attended. It is nice
to know there are so many people that care. Good job to all
that participated, gave of their time and all the donations.
My get well wishes to Pat Palmquist as she had surgery at
the Mayo Clinic. I believe all went well and there is no
cancer. Just some R & R and to get stronger after her
surgery. We miss your smiling face. Get well! .
