Is it me or has this been a brutal winter? Ditto of last
week! We did get about 6 inches of snow followed by 30 below
zero temps. A typical winter in the Northwoods. The
snowmobilers were here. The weekend was decent. Next weekend
should be much of the same.
I was in Madison for a few days for Legislative Days for the
Tavern League of Wisconsin. WWW.TLW.org We were lobbying for
small business's rights. There were over 1000 people
representing the Tavern League. Our voices are always
strongly listened too. Of course the smoking ban is a top
issue. It is going to happen. I am just not sure in what
magnitude and when. If you are a Tavern Owner please support
the Tavern League. Contact me if you'd like more information
or to join.
Scottie was busy this week preparing for his numerous home
shows he has coming up. Check out his website
www.ezporch.com
You never know when you may need his services. No pun
intended. We miss you!
Prayers continue for Jan and family as she is still trying
to get well. Jan has suffered one setback after the next but
is relatively comfortable. Who wouldn't be when you have
Jenneane taken care of you :-) Jenneane is her caregiver and
she needs our support and BIG HUGS as well.
My prayers to LeeAnn and her family as her niece was
brutally murdered.
Linda Kofal is recovering at Golden Living home she broke
her knee cap. Our get well wishes to her. I want to wish
Ralph Dewitt get well wishes as he had hip surgery. I hope
your out dancing soon! Dan Archambeau is coming along after
his freaky accident on Dec 1. Mrs. Cook June is back slaving
away at breakfast we sure missed you! A get well wish for
Sweetie Petey as he is having some shoulder problems. Sorry
Petey I lost all four games at pool.
Bowling was good as usual. It's always fun when you win. We
won all 3 games again! We were also participating in team
event for the city tournament. We should have done fairly
well. I did bowl my average 2 out of 3 games not too bad!
Drum lessons continue for Elliott. He seems to really enjoy
it! He also is loving the Basketball but he had his last
game on Friday night. We stayed and watched the last regular
season high school boys basketball game. They will play LCO
on Tuesday night at 7. If they win (which the should) they
play Thursday night at home at 7 pm. Good luck Jacks.
Janie's team lost at sectionals in a close game to Siren.
Darn, they had a very good team.
As I mentioned I was Sweety Petey this week at pool. Ken won
all four games--lucky him. We will have some rule changes
next year.....right Ken? Just teasing. Thanks to all the
subs that help out during the year.
Our annual 9 ball pool tournament will be held Saturday
April 25. We always have a great time!
Until next week have a great week....catch you all later.
Cheers
Sharon
