Greetings
from the solid tundra of the north woods! It has been quite
the cold snap. The kids were off school two days this week
because of the frigid weather. It was as cold as 35 below
not even factoring in wind chills. Brrrr. that is cold.
After it warmed up then we received about 4 inches of snow.
The trails are in excellent shape. Ice Shacks are out in
force. The conditions for winter are perfect! Groomers are
doing a super job!
Prayers continue for Jan as she is trying to get stronger
and fight the BIG C.... I hope the New Year will be a better
one for you! Jenneane has brought her to Jan's home and is
taking care of her there. It takes a special person to do
that. Kelly is doing well after her surgery. June's surgery
went well she is still recuperating. She will soon be
dancing. Barb Vergin is also doing well after her surgery.
We sure missed you at bowling. Then Karna is next. Linda
Kofal is recovering at home she broke her knee cap. Our get
well wishes to her. Carol Horstman will be having surgery
soon I hope all goes well. She will be in the hospital for 5
days. Get well we will miss your smiling face. I suppose I
will see my Freddie though.
Welcome back Nancy as she just completed a cruise. I haven't
heard all the details but I bet she had a blast! She picked
a good time to get out of here....understatement!
My condolences to the Chad Hunter family he passed away in
Florida. A service will follow in the spring. It is never
easy losing a loved one!
We are in our new home. It is very nice. Stop by sometime
the door is open. I am also working on an alarm system for
the business. So that I will sleep in peace.
If I had it to do over...I would think twice about the
modular home experience. Just ask me?
Playoffs are in force and soon it will be Super Bowl.
Arizona plays Philadelphia and Pittsburgh plays Baltimore.
Soon there will be two!
I sure am glad the Holidays are over and now life can return
to a bit of normalcy...whatever that may be!
Bowling was fun we lost one game by one pin. I bowled my
average once and missed once by a few pins. We were short
Barb as she had her surgery. Hurry back Barb we need ya and
miss ya.
Elliott has resumed his drum lessons. It is a passion of
his. His instructor told him he will be a valuable drummer
someday. He also started the elementary basketball. He is
liking that as well. No ski club this week the temps were
not conducive. Maybe this week!
In pool Steve Kiggins subbed and won all four games and the
twelve pack. Thanks for all the subs kicking in.
Until next week have a great week....catch you all later.
Cheers
Sharon
