Another week flown by! And what a pleasant week it
was! Indian summer perhaps? There are quite a few people
around. Fall festivals in the area, small game hunting,
fishing, ATVing. many cabin people are cleaning up and
closing up, putting pontoons away and docks are going out.
Does that mean winter is just around the corner? I hope not!
I would like Indian Summer until Dec 1 if that is possible.
Fishing reports are still favorable as well. So jump in your
car and come up north. We'd love to see you! Reports from
out west Jerry Witt bagged a huge Bull Elk. Congrats to him!
Bowling was back to normal as my average started out at 169
very hard to top that. Of course I did not get my average
any games. I was close on one. Back to the drawing board. We
did take all 3 games I believe. Way to go girls! Golf is
officially over for me. The banquet is this week in Hidden
Greens.
A big get well to Larry as he was in a car accident he was
banged up pretty good. His dog Abbie broke her leg as well.
I took Larry to the doctor on Friday --no detached retina to
his good eye. Now it's just a waiting game on his ribs. He
is a lucky guy! Abbey is healing as well.
My prayers to Jan as she is having some health issues right
now. Of course prayers to Jenneane as she has much on her
plate right now! A bit of good news for Jan as well there is
no cancer in her brain or bones.
Nancy's husband Al had knee surgery as well. Get well
Al---so you can still chase Nanee around!

League. If any bar owners doesn't belong and would like to ,
please contact me! And for those who do and need assistance
don't hesitate to call me.
Once again...I a good job by all of you. Thanks for kicking
in while Jenneane and Larry and Joan were/are gone. You guys
are the best. It is nice to know we can all count on each
other in times when we need to or want to!
There will be a fundraiser and raffle drawing at the VFW on
Saturday. Come out and show your support!
The saferide program has officially started in Barnes. Ask
the bartender if you would like a saferide home? For more
information just call me 715-795-2320. Our local Ashland
Bayfield County Tavern League will be hosting our fall
fundraiser at Valhalla Pub and Grub in Washburn. Let me know
if you are interested in helping out! It will be Oct 26 a
Packer bye week!

Vikings and Bears both lost, better luck next week! Brewers
have continued their slump there chances of making the
playoffs are diminishing. Badgers had the week off. Go WI
teams go!
