Greetings from the land of summer (two nice days in a row)
woo-hoo! I am sorry I missed last week with Basketball
clinic, little league, golf, working out and work (notice
work is last) I hadn't had time or should I say taken time
to write this! Please forgive me!
Congrats to the Drummond Class of 2008. There were 39
graduating. Good luck in your future. I handed out 1000
dollars in the Steven Hough Memorial Scholarships, 5 local
people were the recipients.
As I mentioned before it was a crazy week. Elliott had a
basketball clinic Thursday Friday and Saturday. It was at
the school and the High school basketball coach was the
instructor. The kids had a great time. Elliott had two
little league games as well. One they won and won they tied.
So that was good!
Golf was very good this week. I golfed as much as I could
weather permitting. We golfed a informal scrabble on Tuesday
night. We did well coming in with a 39. We had one birdie
and 4 pars. Just call us Tigress!
Elliott and I went and saw Boston/Styx at Grand Casino
Hinckley. Styx sounded very good. Boston was a bit flat. It
was also a bit chilly being it was outdoors. In the morning
we golfed at the Hinckley course! It is always nice to golf
somewhere new.
Congrats to Jim Weichert as he celebrated his 70 birthday.
Bob Stansky and Carole at the Decoy and Jan put on a big
spread. Birthday wishes to Dewey as well.
I am happy to report Paul Merz is home. He has had a long
road after his ATV accident. He will need constant care. My
heart goes out to his family. Stay strong. Paul is a
wonderful man.
There will be a benefit to help medical costs for Paul Merz
at the Cabin Store June 28 starting at 2 p.m. Let's all show
our support!
My condolences to the Van Sickle family in the loss of
Claudia. She is my ex sister in law being married to my
brother and Mother of my nephew Mike. She lost the battle
with pancreatic cancer and was only in her forties. My
sincere condolences to all of you!
