Greetings from the the pristine land of Barnes. The
weather continues to be erratic. Warm then cold but mostly
cold. We did get about 2 inches of snow on Thursday night.
Every bit helps for the snowmobiling crew. Many are out there
ice fishing as big game is closing soon. Weather is just
that...it will be what it will be.
The snowmobile trails are reported in very good conditions.
They are still out there grooming like crazy. I get a first
hand report from the groomer in Bayfield County. He said the
trails are in great shape. They are grooming continuously.
Great job you guys! Also to the mechanics that pitch in and
help keep those groomers going.
Bowling was good this week. I bowled my average all three
games. Yippee. The last game could have been stellar. Of
course I choked and only got a 155. I believe we took 5 out of
7 points. The race is tight in bowling so I am not sure of the
standings.
Pool saw many subs this week. I am not sure of the results. I
will post next time. I wonder what Sweety and Mr. Maint were
up too!
The Drummond Boys Basketball team is in sectional tournament
play. They are the Cinderella team of the Indianhead
conference. They beat Siren in Webster last Saturday. Now they
play Mellen on Friday night in Spooner. Go boys go! Go show
Drummond your support it is a great time!
Thursday night The girls lost there second sectional game to
Northwoods. They played Bayfield Tuesday and won big. They
were without two key players. Great season girls.
Good luck to Janie Murray, my employee who plays for
Northwood. She is a great player.
