Hello, hello from the pristine woods of Northern Wisconsin.
First of all my heart goes out to all involved in the
Minnesota bridge collapse. What a tragedy! We are all familiar
with the bridge. It could have been allot worse. My sincere
condolences to all involved.
No rain at all this week. Bummer! Temps have been rather
pleasant. Hey remember it is summer. I love the warmth. Rain
please?
Golf was fun as usual! I golfed rather poorly compared to my
partner and our opponents. I was consistently poor. Both my
scores for the two rounds were the same. The second round we
played bingo, bango, bongo. I did ok there, usually taking the
bango, which means closest to the pin after getting on the
green. Last week we were in second place. After this week I
believe we will drop. I really don't place too much importance
on standings, as I love to play. Better luck next week *smile
smile*
I hope you are feeling better Karna as she is in the hospital
recovering.
To the rest of our staff---You guys/gals are the best! I
appreciate everyone of you! Keep up the great work, summer is
almost over. Sad sad!
Fishing reports seem to be good! The fish are biting. Now you
just have to figure out where!

The Motel is booking up fast for the summer so if you are
planning to reserve, do so quickly!
Next week is the Lions Club annual Corn and Brat Festival and
women's softball tournament. It is a great time and the corn
is always yummy. I have a team from Amery/Wanderoos that
always stays with me at the Motel. They are a great group.

Congrats to Mark and Amanda Dewitt they were married last week
in Cloquet. I was able to attend. A great showing from Barnes.
A good time was had by all!
We then continued on Sunday to Grand Casino Hinckley. A nice
lady gave us free tickets to Kenny G. Wow I was amazed at his
performance. It was sit edging good! We didn't gamble too much
but laid in the sun and swam and ate and a few toddies. It is
nice to get away.
I hope my friends had a safe, fun and good time this week.
They were out west on their Harleys. Welcome home Lois, Stan,
Dale and Renee and the rest of the crew, I hope you had a
blast! I hope to see you soon.
