It has been a very busy week! It always seems to be around
the fourth. I believe everyone takes vacation either before
or after. The weather was very adequate! The lakes and roads
and bars and restaurants were abundant with people. I always
say there are 600 residents of Barnes...5000 on the weekends
and 5 million on the 4th of July! Anyone care to argue?
Golfing was fun! I always have fun golfing even if I don't
score well!
Congratulations to the Barnes Trading Post Softball team
they won the Zeros Tournament this weekend! The guys paid
tribute to Rod Wekkin wearing Mr. Bubble's shirts in honor
of him. He lost his life last year ATVing in our area. He
had played 19 years in this tournament. Condolences to the
Wekkin family. It had to be difficult!
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Sesko Family. Debbie
had a fainting spell and was helicopter to Duluth. She was
then transported to St Paul. Apparently she had an aneurysm
in her neck. She made it through the surgery and is
coherent. She is still in intensive care. I saw Don at the
bank and he was heading down there. I have tears of joy that
my prayers were answered. I have tears of sadness that this
family has had to endure such a traumatic experience. Get
well DEB...we love ya!!!!!
I also want to take this time to thank each and every
employee I have. We have set all kinds of records this year.
It is such a pleasure to see each and everyone of you kick
in and help! You guys/gals are the best!! Thank you from the
bottom of my heart!
Welcome to Hilary Krenz our new waitress. She started on one
of the busiest nights!
Elliott traveled to Duluth to the aquarium with Cub Scouts
last Wednesday. He is having a BLAST this summer. He had his
last little league game. He is going with Cub Scouts
tomorrow to the Duluth Zoo. What a lucky duck!
Remember we serve food 7 days a week starting at 7 a.m.
Anytime Bloody Mary's $2.00.
See you at the Post!
Have a great week! Be safe -have fun!
Until next week.....
Hugs
Sharon
